Jennifer’s first run -in with the law occurred early in life. She learned to climb trees before the age of 2 and would greet neighbors walking by, startling them; to her mother’s delight, the neighbors response was to call to child protective services. Later in grade school, she would write letters to her teachers briefing her position on school rules and any discipline she encountered – usually for talking back. After graduating with a degree in education, she taught junior high English, an experience which proved unexpectedly helpful in preparing her for a legal career.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2002 and clerked for a trial court judge before beginning practice. As a young lawyer, Jennifer handled family law and small government matters including land use and zoning, appeals, probates, construction and contracts. She has worked with elected officials and the media and has served as legal counsel for a number of cities and non-profits, as well as representing law enforcement officers and the Fraternal Order of Police. Jennifer has been in private practice since 2009. Her areas of emphasis include probate, guardianship, adoption including foster-to-adopt, divorce and custody, estate planning and small business. Jennifer is licensed in Washington and Idaho.

When she is not in the office, Jennifer enjoys down time with her family. She has trouble turning down the right book, the right wine or the right conversation.
